Aniah had a big weekend at the classic. She was putting down big shots all weekend. I know I said I wasn’t going to write about more than one player per team, but with VA Juniors finishing 2nd and Aniah winning best attacker I figured maybe I’d cheat on my rule this one time. She was up against some big blockers and other college commits (Aniah is committed to NC Central University) and she really stood out the couple times I caught some of her games.

Aniah charges in at number 75 in our new rankings. Paramount used her as one of their main pin hitters at the Junior Nationals, usually hitting her from the right side. She put a number of balls away. Paramount did not lose a match until the first round of the gold bracket match.
For Oxon Hill she ranked second in kills and first in blocks. While I did not see her do any passing at the Junior Nationals, for Oxon Hill she ranks third on the team in serve reception.
