She stands 5’10” with an approach jump that falls short of 9 feet. She also plays one grade down for Paramount 16. Traditional scouting might choose to ignore her. That would certainly amount to a big whiff.

The first thing you would miss is that as a setter for West Springfield her record the last three years is 74-4 with one state championship last year. She also earned a spot on the Class 6 All state first team. The second fact you would miss is that she set Paramount 16 to a second place finish in the National Division in Junior Nationals. She seems to take over a game and refuses to lose. I think some colleges would have an interest in that kind of attitude.

Anna ranks at number 14 in the class of 2027. She ranks as highest player in that class who has yet to commit. In three years she has dished out close to 1800 assists. She should reach 2,000 before the year is out.

Anna was the starting setter for West Springfield as a frosh. She has gotten the team into the state playoffs her frosh and sophomore season but this past season was the sweetest. She set the team to a state championship. That bumped her up to number 14 in the class of 2027 rankings. She started her career ranked pretty high because of her ability to lead the team to the state bracket as a frosh.

For club she sets a 6/2 for Paramount , setting a year down at the 16 level. While she stands 5’10” her approach jump is still under 9 feet. That may make setting at a Division I college a bit challenging. Division II or III schools looking for a winner should take a look.

19-14. The start of the season did not go so well when a sprained ankle sidelined Anna with a boot for a couple weeks. She set a 6/2 her first match back subbing out when in the front row. They lost that match to Langley, their first loss of the season. After that, things got much better. They lost just one more match, a three setter to Yorktown. Other than that, it was winning a state championship.

In the state championship match against Colgan they lost the first two sets. With Anna at the helm, they came back and won the next three sets. She finished with 36 assists and 17 digs. After that rough start to the season getting crushed in the first two sets in the championship match did not look so formidable.

Another taller setter at 5’10” who can be impactful at the net. This year she will set a year down with Paramount 16.
