She set them to a championship last year running a 5/1. They remain undefeated this year on the road to a possible second straight championship. Anna is ranked as the third highest setter in the class of 2027 and the 14th ranked player overall. Currently, she is the highest ranked player in the class of 2027 yet to commit.

One of the biggest changes for West Springfield is moving the 6’3″ Milena Kibret Milena Kibret 6'3" | MB West Springfield | 2027 State VA from middle to outside. After their two left sides graduated last year they needed help at that position. Milena has committed to New York University.

They are also getting excellent production from the 5’7″ junior outside Layla Babiker Layla Babiker 5'8" | OH/DS/L West Springfield | 2028 State VA . In addition, the 5’9″ Andi Tobin Andi Tobin 5'9" | MB West Springfield | 2027 VA has been able to handle the middle, leading the team in blocks with an impressive .488 hitting percentage. She is one of those bench players from last year who has stepped it up this year to produce at what would have been a vacant spot.

Anna is another player close to 2,000 assists, if she already has not reached it. At 1,939 she falls 61 assists short. That has all been done in her sophomore to senior seasons. She strung together 1,455 assists for her sophomore and junior season with a 60-4 record that includes one state championship. With their 20-0 record this year they have strung together a 37 match winning streak with their last 19 matches resulting in sweeps.

On defense she needs only 38 more digs to reach 500. She ranks at number 14 in the class of 2027, the highest ranked player that has yet to commit. She played down last year for the Paramount 16 team yet set them to the championship match in the gold division at Junior Nationals. Ironically, she combined with Maris Francescon Maris Francescon 5'8" | S St. Paul VI Catholic | 2028 State VA to set for the Paramount 16 team.

Another setter that just wins.

She stands 5’10” with an approach jump that falls short of 9 feet. She also plays one grade down for Paramount 16. Traditional scouting might choose to ignore her. That would certainly amount to a big whiff.

The first thing you would miss is that as a setter for West Springfield her record the last three years is 74-4 with one state championship last year. She also earned a spot on the Class 6 All state first team. The second fact you would miss is that she set Paramount 16 to a second place finish in the National Division in Junior Nationals. She seems to take over a game and refuses to lose. I think some colleges would have an interest in that kind of attitude.

Anna ranks at number 14 in the class of 2027. She ranks as highest player in that class who has yet to commit. In three years she has dished out close to 1800 assists. She should reach 2,000 before the year is out.

Anna was the starting setter for West Springfield as a frosh. She has gotten the team into the state playoffs her frosh and sophomore season but this past season was the sweetest. She set the team to a state championship. That bumped her up to number 14 in the class of 2027 rankings. She started her career ranked pretty high because of her ability to lead the team to the state bracket as a frosh.

For club she sets a 6/2 for Paramount , setting a year down at the 16 level. While she stands 5’10” her approach jump is still under 9 feet. That may make setting at a Division I college a bit challenging. Division II or III schools looking for a winner should take a look.

Anna set Paramount to a second place finish in the Junior National National Division running a 6/2.
