Unlike many of the players on this list Anna is not a new discovery. She ranks number 30 in our class of 2028. She could move up in those rankings once she starts playing six rotations. Currently, she is a bit one dimensional with the ability to score points in bunches by hitting the ball outside.

She led Howard to their Maryland Class 3A state championship with the power she displays from the pins. She currently lists at 5’11” with a decent jump. It would not surprise me to see her rise above 6 feet. If she could acclimate her play to the back row she could contribute more to the offense with a back row attack to go along with her frontal assaults.

Overall, she finished third on the team in kills with a .245 hitting percentage.

Anna plays for the talent loaded Howard High team that won states this year. She’s had to share the spotlight with some big names, but it’s about breakout time for her. If you’ve been watching you know she’s a star in the making, just biding her time until she gets all the recognition she deserves, but she’s a fantastic player. Full package, she’s got power, she plays defense, she can serve, she’s one of the next wave of stars in Maryland, and I think it’s about time everyone recognized that.

Anna is one of the real underrated stars in our area. She’s been overshadowed a little bit at a dominant Howard High team, coming off winning a state title, but that isn’t a negative reflection on her in any way, it’s just a very deep team that happened to have some older players ahead of her in the rotation that got a lot of the press. During the year this year she really started drawing some attention however, for those people who didn’t know who she was, it was a surprise, but for those that have been following them for a while, they know shes a very talented pin. She will be more of a featured player next year with some of the seniors moving out and EVERYONE will know who she is then. Until now I’ll enjoy being in on things early and watching people be surprised by how talented she is because she is a game changer.
