Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am aggressive. I am passionate. I am competitive. I love to hit the ground and I love to win. I’m versatile and have been trained as an outside hitter, but I’ve also played setter and DS.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am very much a tomboy who sees bruises the day after a game as war wounds. I prefer to be outdoors when not on the court. I love grounding myself in nature and working with horses on the weekends. I value my friendships deeply. I am outgoing, goofy and laughing is one of my favorite things to do.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I took Ag at my previous school and have been enrolled in FFA.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
As a prior Varsity player who’s been to camps and trains outside of school, I have used my knowledge to help some of the JV players last season to increase their potential for Varsity next year. I help with settings skills, footwork skills and serving skills. I know that they look up to me as a fellow Freshman who made Varsity. This year’s JV, is next year’s Varsity and I want them to be ready.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
The biggest challenge I have faced is being stationed in a small town where resources are not available. We don’t have local club teams, so I have to join one an hour away. We don’t have a training gym other than the school’s, and that’s not available outside of school practice. So, my parents bought me a rebounder, setting net, spiking tool and made me a volleyball net in the driveway.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college that can look beyond the typical amazing club player and see the potential in a player that is a little rough around the edges due to location and lack of resources, but can be an asset to the team when given the chance. I want a college that has a concentration on Criminal Justice studies. A college that feels welcoming and like you’re family.
