Setters should improve everyone around them, and do all the little things needed to lead a team to victory. Wright moves into the #1 ranked setter spot in this update with her play for NPJ Seattle 17 National team this club season. The Montana commit plays with excellent, repeatable fundamentals from her setter position- and brings size and athleticism to the party at 5’9″ with excellent offensive skills as an attacker. Wright is creating increased opportunities for all of her attackers with good decision making and tempo, and the team has been winning at terrific rate. NPJ won 4 matches at Triple Crown, and have only dropped matches to WVBA 18 Adidas and SNVF 18 in the NWPL. Wright has excellent strength and athleticism that helps her make plays on defense and compete as a blocker in the 5-1.

Wright has recently verbally committed to the Montana Grizzlies in the Big Sky, and the smooth setter from Tahoma is one of a few early commits form the 2025 group. She does the hard work with her feet before she gets her hands on the ball, and has a consistent foot pattern and quick change of direction when a pass might make her move suddenly. Tahoma may need her to play as an attacker at times this fall, and she is excellent swinging from either pin .

Wright is a fearless setter and the rising junior from Tahoma High School has serious chops as an attacker too. Ultimately we see her setting at the next level, she has made a verbal commitment to the University of Montana. The Griz are getting a winner and a team captain, Big Sky volleyball just got better!

Wright can show off her athleticism, foot speed, and solid vertical in the 5-1 formation for NPJ. She will run down a pass that’s off target and still put up a set that her hitters can put a good swing on. She has a great sense of when to find one of her back row attackers for a swing, using the pipe in and out of system. NPJ is highly effective when Wright is at the service line, she is accurate and mixes up her serve location, it’s a solid point-scoring rotation for the team.

NPJ 16 was one of the top finishers in the PSR Power League qualifier and had an excellent top-five finish at Matt Hartner in Eugene. Wright is looking super dynamic at the setter spot, jump-setting everything and keeping the tempo fast for her talented attackers. She is using the pipe from different spots on the court, and NPJ has the hitters that can convert from the back row. Wright has enough size to attack at the net and mixes in a smart dump when the team needs it.

Wright is a dual threat, an attacker from either pin and a setter with sweet hands. Her attacking from the right side is particularly effective she is quick off her feet and can take the ball to the line hard, or drop a soft tip on the defense. She uses quick feet and good athleticism to run down the second ball and put up a well-located set.
