KC Power had the rare distinction of getting multiple 17s teams in Gold brackets at USAV Nationals. We’ve alluded to KC Power 17-1’s quarterfinal breakthrough in 17 Open, but Davis and 17-2 just accomplished the same feat in 17 USA. Davis has played in every DS role imaginable with KC Power, allowing her to compile a complete, diverse highlight film. She digs dimes down the line and will take up plenty of space in the serve-receive pattern. Davis now hopes to build off a string of productive backcourt seasons on the prep side with Basehor-Linwood.

Davis jumped on my radar in drill action due to her defensive prowess. She was one of the steadier defenders regarding hard balls hit her way. Not only did she stand in front of them, but she also sent them to the setter in a location that allowed them to still have multiple options for the set. Her play in serve receive was also solid. The surprise was her move to setter in later drills. I’m assuming this is another position she can play because she looked just as sharp in that role.
