About Anzley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to have the mindset of always being the loudest on and off of the court. I try and be a leader and over exaggerate my voice on every play. I try and be as encouraging as possible to my teammates. Lastly, I always push for every ball, having the girt to never let a ball drop.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would say I have a very peppy, loud, personality. I try and make the game of volleyball as fun for both myself and my teammates! A mentality that has stuck with me that I continue in my play is. ever ball matters. Knowing that every ball I touch betters or worsens the play, then I want to do everything in my capability to better it.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I am in FCA, NJHS, and have received awards for Academic Excellence at my high school. I am also a four time Superintendent Scholar.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed many leadership skills through serving at my church. I work in the kids department and serve as a teacher for 4-year old's. I also serve my community through my church by serving at our Christmas Giving Tree once a year. I also had the privilege of going to the Dominican Republic for my churches mission trip two years ago!

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, one significant challenge that I have faced was during my 7th grade year. I was diagnosed with Chronic Recurrent Multifocal Osteomyelitis. This is a rare condition that causes inflammations in my bones and was very painful. It was uncertain if I was ever going to be able to play sports again, but fortunately my conditions improved and I was able to continue to play the sport I loved.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that not only offers a great volleyball program, but also has a great pre-med program. I would love to be able to compete for a Conference Championship, and even a National Championship. With that being said, I would like a university that will prepare me for my goal of being an orthopedic surgeon.
