About Arabelle

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Versatile setter running a fast paced offense for club ball and a slower higher set tempo for school ball, at times playing defensive specialist and serve receiving in club ball. Energetic and uplifting to my teammates.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Fiercely competitive and energetic while maintaining professionalism towards my competitors. Uplifting towards my teammates. Unselfish and understanding the setter role of making my hitters look good.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am heavily involved in Student Council and am in Bio club. I am also a HOCO ambassador for a dress shop.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership in taking the undesired tasks head on, encouraging my teammates in hard times, taking responsibility for my own play, attitude and mistakes. Teamwork by understanding volleyball is a team sport not ever about just 1 player or position so unselfish play is my priority never playing well to shine myself but for my team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Starting varsity as a freshman with all upperclassmen with many different personalities after coming off of leadership roles in jr high volleyball caused me to learn to take the back seat role, learn when some behavior is better off ignored instead of absorbed and work on my skill set to be worthy of my position.

What type of college are you looking for?

A good pre-med, biology program with goals of being a pediatrician, anesthesiologist, dentist or CRNA some day. A strong volleyball program where I can be a benefit to a team and that helps me reach my potential.

Arabelle is a setter who can do it all! Her ability to put up a playable ball no matter the first contact is incredibly impressive. Her speed sets her apart, and she was digging up some impossible balls in the backcourt. Arabelle’s energy and leadership mentality made her a standout player who truly shined at the Expo!
