How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I play as a utility with a strong back-row focus. I’m reliable and disciplined with defense, and quick to read hitters and cover space. I take pride in ball control, extending rallies, and keeping the offense in system. I’m vocal on defense, adaptable to different roles when needed, and focused on making smart, consistent plays that help the team stay steady.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I have a calm sense of urgency with a team-first mentality. I tend to try and stay composed under pressure, communicate well, and focus on consistency, effort, and doing whatever the team needs to win and improve.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Yes. I’m actively involved in several school clubs and serve on their boards: I’m a Community Outreach Officer for FASA (Filipino American Student Association), an Event Coordinator for CATT, a club focused on smoking prevention and suicide awareness, and an Event Representative for GIDAS, a biochemical engineering club. In addition, I received the MVP award for the Santa Clara High School 2025–20
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through my involvement in school clubs and athletics, I’ve developed strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Serving on club boards has helped me grow in event planning, organization, and community outreach, while volleyball has taught me discipline, accountability, and how to lead and support teammates under pressure.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Yes. Balancing a demanding athletic schedule with academics, leadership roles, and work has been a significant challenge. In addition to school and volleyball, I work as a barista and serve as a winter league assistant coach for younger athletes. Managing these responsibilities required strong time management, discipline, and adaptability, helping me become more resilient, organized, and mentally
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college with strong programs in business or economics, or in the medical field. I want a school that offers solid academics while allowing me to continue growing as a student-athlete. Ideally, I hope to stay in California so I can remain close to home and within a familiar community.
