Expert Analysis
Jesse Etter | Prep Dig Scout
The Weber State commit has increased her strength and power as she continues to develop. The lefty opposite/ right side was hammering at the liberos covering the line; it was a “duck and cover!” situation as Aaron banged ball after ball for kills.

The lefty from Spokane Valley brought it all season; Aaron played with more physicality and power in her third year as a varsity player. She is a verbal commit to Weber State and looks ready to have an outstanding club season. Aaron continues to develop her game as a server, and defensively, she will make plays in the back row. She has the offensive skills to score from the back row as an opposite.

From Jade: “Ashlyn is a special kind of right side as a left-handed player. She has some nasty hard-line swings and some nice angle shots, and she’s also a unit in the back row. Ashlyn picks up every dump, tip, and roll shot that comes her way. Her block is hard to pass as most swings her way are shut down. She is very encouraging, kind, and down-to-earth. Ashlyn is overall an amazing teammate.”

Aaron continues to climb the rankings as a true RS, the University High School sophomore from the Spokane Valley has a live left handed arm swing and good length measuring in at a solid 6-feet. Her CPA 16 Benson squad is looking to build on a solid 2023 at the 15’s level and start the travel tournament schedule with a trip to Eugene, Oregon this weekend for the Matt Hartner Memorial. Aaron continues to add strength as an attacker, complimenting her hard work in transition and on the block.

Aaron is the sweet swinging left-hander that every coach hopes for on the right side, and the sophomore from University High in Spokane Valley had an excellent club season with CPA 15 Benson. Aaron earned a spot on the All-Tournament team at the Emerald City Classic and developed different swings and shots she could terminate with during the season. She was a starter as a freshman for U-Hi last season and should be a top option for the Titans in her second year of varsity competition.

Aaron is a natural opposite, tall, left-handed, and able to hammer the ball. Her transition and approach are aggressive and fast, she can find a seam or pound a ball down the line for a kill. Her high contact point caused some big problems for defenses at the Matt Hartner tournament, it’s not easy to defend a terminal, 6′ foot left-hander at the 15U level. Aaron may end up over six feet tall, she is certainly a 2026 prospect to keep a close eye on.
