About Ashtyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as competitive. I have always loved the sport and I am here for it. I love playing volleyball, it is something I will do in my free time, like it is not a chore for me. I like to have fun while playing but I also hate losing and stay focused on the game, while still having fun and playing energetically and competitively.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

When playing volleyball, I try my hardest to play with intention and have a "next ball" mentality. Playing with intention is important too, because every touch on the ball matters, and one play can change a whole game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in many clubs at my high school, including business club, FCA, science club, and the rotary interact club. I also am a part of the 3.5-3.9 Honor Roll.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed many skills in life, especially through playing volleyball. I have developed communication, because volleyball has showed me how important communication is. I've also developed leadership, by learning when and how to step up for my team if we are in a hole. Teamwork also has came from volleyball for me, and carried into many other things, because you can't do it alone.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have not faced any significant challenges in my volleyball career so far.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that plays competitive volleyball, where I can get a degree in what I want and be a successful student athlete. I would like to go to a bigger university where I can play volleyball and pursue my education at the same time.

New Bremen went 25-3 this past fall season as Eilerman was a key factor from the middle phase. She averaged 2.5 k/s while leading the Cardinals in offensive efficiency at .362. She is part of a young group of athletes that will be tasked with carrying on the strong New Bremen tradition in the future. She had some big moments throughout the season as she opens her hips and shoulders well to the ball that allow her to swing with good pace and range.

New Bremen made another deep postseason run, this time with the help of some younger prospects with promising futures in the game. The DV 1st team all-Ohio selection is one of those individuals that had an impressive season of regular action at the varsity level. Finishing with averages of 2.5 k/s and 2.0 b/m, she was a big factor in the middle phase as she gets off the floor quickly to be able to get on top of the ball well when attacking. Eilerman was the only non-senior selected to the DV 1st team.
