About Aubrey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a competitive player on the court. I love the sport of volleyball, being a captain, leader, and friend. Helping teammates with plays, calling shots, giving tips, telling people where open spots are. Awareness on both sides of the court is important. Seeing players weak spots, notices how they hit, their body language, where the setter is, and how many hitters.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a competitive person on and off the court. When someone gives me a challenge I stick with it until I accomplish it. When I want to do something, I do it. I work hard on and off the court. Spending time with friends and family is important to me. Having fun, laughing, living life, and loving each other is a big part of my life.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Other activities I have participated in included the following: I volunteer at my local church & a local fondation called Joyful Heart. Some recognitions I have received: “See something, say something” for firearm awareness at school, high grade awards, responsible awards, and multi sport-athlete awards. I did equestrian for 6 years earning tons of awards, and learning how to be a leader.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being a captain on my volleyball team for two years I have learned to respect adults, coaches, teammates, referees even if you disagree. Communication is one of the most important things I learn. Being able to talk to a person saying what I think or believe in a respectful manner is vital.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have a step brother that is 19. Him leaving between houses and only really seeing him on the weekends. He goes to school at Purdue University so it makes it less time I get to see him.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would look to go to a college where I can excel at my education, and sports. A school with a strong Biology department and volleyball program is ideal. I have a love for animals and want to go into veterinary school and one day own my own private practice.
