Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a leader on and off the court. I am a student of the game and have strong instincts and a high volleyball IQ. I see the court, see holes and work live time with my hitters to adjust to defenses. I am offensively minded- averaging several kills per game as a setter.
Nothing makes me happier then when a teammate puts the ball down off of a well executed set!
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a leader and competitor. I am a student of the game. I play with big heart. I can create momentum with both my defense, offense and through pumping other players up by setting up them up to make a big play in the right moment.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Awards: Academic all conference, High honor roll
Other activities: Basketball, Track, Choir, Student Council, Model UN, Church, CrossFit
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I love that volleyball is the truest team sport. You literally cant do it alone. Over the last few years as a captain I have learned how to dial up and down my intensity to meet different teammates where they are at to drive the best result for our team.
I have also spent a lot of time understanding the rules and strategies of the game so I can be well spoken with coaches andofficials.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
The biggest challenge I face was last year. I played for a 14-2 highly competitive regional club team, that had a very successful season. When I started back to school ball, our team was very young and inexperienced. I had to learn to become a player coach, remain patient and help each player find their confidence during a losing season.
What type of college are you looking for?
I would like to play volleyball for a D2 or D3 small school. I am interested in both public and private. I would like to play in a program that focuses on high performance, but also understands the academic demands of college.
Scholarship preferred, but not necessary.
