About Autumn
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’d describe my gameplay style as aggressive but controlled. I like to take smart risks, stay calm under pressure, and bring consistent energy no matter what’s going on. I’m always looking for ways to help my team and push the pace.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m super competitive but also really positive. I like to lift up my teammates, stay focused, and keep a strong mindset even when things get tough. I believe effort and attitude are everything, and I bring both every time I step on the court.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Currently, I’m focused on academics as I transition to a public school. I’m working toward earning my AA through dual enrollment before I graduate high school. School has always been important to me, and I’m excited to challenge myself both on and off the court.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Volleyball has taught me a lot about leadership and teamwork. I’ve learned how to communicate better, stay positive in tough moments, and lead by example. I try to bring energy to every practice and game, and I always look for ways to support my teammates and help the team grow together.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
During my 13U season, there was conflict between two teammates that caused tension on the court. I saw how it affected the whole team—especially during a championship game where we broke down. It taught me a lot about leadership, and that not everyone is motivated the same way. Even though I wasn’t directly involved, I learned how important team chemistry and communication really are.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college that offers a strong education and helps set me up for success beyond volleyball. Academics will be the foundation of my choice, but I’d also love to be part of a competitive program with a great team culture.
