Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I've grown into a strong leader in my position as a setter, who is aggressive with a good volleyball IQ where I'm able to elevate my team while also being very coachable.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I will always be the hardest worker on the court and in the classroom. I'm competitive and aggressive by nature I'm told, while always pushing myself to improve to be the best I can be. I enjoy working hard to achieve my goals. I also have a good balance of when to work hard and be serious but also when to laugh and have a good sense of humor.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I have been recognized for being on the honor roll for the last three years in a row. My artwork design was used for the front and back cover of our school yearbook after winning a school wide competition. Also, when I have time I volunteer for the United Way and work part-time on a seasonal basis cleaning.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have really developed as a leader on the court for my club and high school teams, especially in my position as a setter. I've learned to not only embrace the leadership role and enjoy it but look forward to more growth to be able to lead my teammates to more success. I have also enjoyed volunteering for occasional school functions and at the United Way events too.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I don't think I've had significant challenges, but I did switch schools for two years because my parents wanted me to have in-person class room learning instead of trying to learn virtually during covid. The school was private, very small and we had to wear uniforms so it was an adjustment but I enjoyed it and met new friends. Then once I broke my ankle playing sports but recovered just fine.
What type of college are you looking for?
A college that will allow me to play at a competitive level and offers a strong academic program that when I graduate I can always be proud of where I went. I would like a college that offers a well rounded experience that will prepare me for graduate school and life.
