Mintonette m.71 opens the upcoming 17 Open GJNC event as the top seed in Pool 5. This team has had a lot of success on a national scale as the core group has been competing together at a high level for a handful of seasons. Brown brings some of the best length among this group and DI college-level talent like many of her club teammates. She plays well above the net on both sides of the ball and following one more cycle, including with Lexington in the Fall, she will take her game to Maryland.

The Maryland commit has some of the best length in Ohio at 6’3. Her wingspan and 10′ touch create big advantages at the net as she can get on top of the ball through space or swing over or challenge high hands with a lot of success. Whether on the left or right side, Brown is a primary factor offensively while also making a big impact as a blocker in her ability to fill up a lot of space with her hand penetration that can limit lanes to drive the ball for opposing hitters.

The Maryland commit has now earned over 1,400 total kills for Lexington with another season averaging over 6.0 k/s. With 527 total kills in 2024, she was much more effective and efficient at a career high .466. Her length on the pin is a huge advantage at this level as she uses her reach well to score. She can swing for power or control and finesse to keep defenses off balance. A 1st team all-Ohio honoree in DIV, Brown will play her club ball this season for Mintonette’s top 17U team
