Miss Dougherty is currently an unranked prospect in the 2029 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but that is only because we have not released them yet. She plays for Rock Hill High School and also plays for the Excel volleyball club. We saw Ava this past summer at our Freshman showcase and loved every bit of what she showed us. I was super excited to see her in action again as we were able to see how she fared against some older competition. Let’s just say that she held her own and then some. Blessed with such a beautiful touch on the ball with her soft hands, she was able to show just how consistent she could be with every set location. I loved how the ball came out very fast and also how she was able to set against the flow of the pass to keep the defense guessing. This young lady is going to be a very valuable asset to any team she plays on with what she can do with the ball in her hands. I am sure that when we release the rankings, she will be listed. We just have to watch her closely this club season to see where she will be placed. In the meantime, please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at this showcase.
