Expert Analysis
Jesse Etter | Prep Dig Scout
The 5’11” Riach plays big at the net and has been splitting time setting and attacking from the right side for WVBA this club season. She has a great press across the net as a blocker, and Riach is willing to attack an overpass or joust strong with two hands. The junior from Bothell is developing nice chemistry with her middles; her high release as a setter is ideal for running quick-tempo routes with her attackers.

Riach did everything for the Cougars during the high school season. The 5’11” setter/right side tore up opposing defenses with hard-hitting swings, a tough serve and smart setting to set up her teammates. Defensively, she is a long, athletic blocker who can pull back and play defense with hustle and effort in the back row.

Riach plays for Bothell High School and WVBA, and it’s during the club season that the 5’11” Riach started her move up the rankings. She has excellent movement and technique when she has to chase down the first contact, and she can deliver a hittable set from nearly any location on the floor. Her length at the position is an advantage that shows up when she is playing the front row, blocking and attacking on two.
