About Ayda

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as aggressive and logical. I read the court and make the smartest plays, while having powerful swings and a big block.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality while playing volleyball is always disciplined and hard-working. I stay focused and consistent during long matches, never let my mistakes affect my next play, and push myself no matter how tired I may be.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I'm currently volunteering as an assistant volleyball coach at Presidio Middle School. I'm also involved in a honors philosophy curriculum at Archbishop Riordan.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

By playing volleyball I've developed traits such as leadership, communication, positive attitude, confidence, adaptability, and good sportsmanship.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A challenge I've overcome was balancing schoolwork while playing varsity volleyball as a freshman. Adjusting to the high school workload and being on a varsity schedule was pretty tough, but I learned to do it while maintaining a 4.0 GPA

What type of college are you looking for?

Im looking for a college that supports my interests in biology and medicine while also having a great volleyball program.
