Barksdale (pictured) had an outstanding season for the Devils in the fall. She is tough on go routes. She can smack the ball to different parts of the court and find different ways to tap balls off blockers and to open parts of the court. Barksdale also makes nice first passes then quickly transitions to offense and is a sound server. Barksdale had 313 kills, 152 digs and 39 aces for Owensboro this past fall.

Barksdale (pictured) could be one of the best hitters in 3rd Region history by the time it is over and done with. She played a big role in leading the Devils to the first region championship in program history. Her club and high school teams take advantage of her quick arm swings. She throws in lefthanded swings to catch opponents off-guard. She does a great job with her timing on blocks to get balls on hands and help out her defense.

Barksdale burst onto the scene making an immediate impact for the Devils. Her presence opens up opportunities for her teammates. Barksdale can smack balls to different parts of the court from the pins and middle. She makes good passes then quickly gets into attack mode. Barksdale also helped Owensboro control the net well. Barksdale had 231 kills, 130 digs and 42 solo blocks, helping Owensboro go 24-15 and win the first 3rd Region championship in school history.
