About Bailey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I run the offense with a calm, composed presence that’s rare for a freshman. I read blockers early, make quick decisions, and don’t hesitate to take risks when the team needs momentum. My court awareness is one of my defining traits, I see the play before it develops.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I play with energy and intensity. I celebrate my passers and hitters, I reset quickly after mistakes, and I bring a leadership presence that lifts the team. Even as a freshman, I act like someone who expects to run the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am currently involved in FFA and FCA.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve grown into a vocal, steady presence on the court. As a setter, I naturally take charge of the offense, communicate clearly with hitters, and keep my team focused during tough stretches. I lead by example — through my work ethic, composure, and willingness to take responsibility for the team’s rhythm.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the most defining challenges I’ve faced came from stepping into the setter role while also being the only player on the team with varsity experience. Instead of that experience being seen as an asset, it sometimes made me a target. I felt judged before I even stepped on the court, teammates questioned my abilities, made comments behind my back, & assumed I thought I was “above” them.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a volleyball program where my voice, work ethic, and experience matter, not just my stats. I want coaches who develop leaders, trust their setters, and appreciate players who elevate the team culture. I want a school where academics are taken seriously and where I can balance athletics with a major that interests me. I'm drawn to colleges that offer resources for student athletes
