About Bailey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is intense. I put maximum effort on the court every point. I bring the most intensity I can while also supporting my teammates in every way I can.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My parents and coaches have always described me as self-motivated. I constantly put in extra work to better myself without anyone asking me to. I would describe my personality as a strong leader who always tries to encourage and motivate my teammates. I also know how to bring a little humor and positive energy when I know my team needs it the most.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I volunteer with a local Care Center that helps with home repairs and feeding those who cannot afford it. I was in the National Junior Honor Society in middle school. I also participated in FFA and my local 4H organization. I also am a proud member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I am very active in my local youth group at church.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My leadership and teamwork skills have been strengthening throughout my life playing multiple sports before playing volleyball. I started in a brand new sport in a club where I was the "new kid". By my second season, my team voted to make me a captain. I try to be the positive energy my team needs on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I started as a competitive cheerleader then soccer player. When I started playing volleyball, I felt like I worked twice as hard as anyone to catch up to everyone else. I still continue to try to work harder than everyone else so I can continue to get better and help my team. This mindset is how I went from a brand new player to a captain on a club's most competitive team in only two years.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to go to a college that I can get a good education while playing a sport that I love. I am looking for a college and team that will help me become a better person on and off the court.
