Shirley was on target for much of the day. Shirley knows the strengths of her hitters and sets balls to those spots. Shirley mixes things up with her sets well. She landed a number of 31 balls offensively and sent some hard spinning serves for aces that defenders struggled with. She had some cross-court attempts that hit the net, but had a good day on the whole.

Shirley does a great job making things happen all over the net. Shirley powers balls past blockers even hitting balls off them when necessary. Shirley does a great job painting lines and tipping balls to shallow parts of the court to keep defenses honest. Shirley gets in sync with the hitters and puts them in position to succeed. Shirley had 234 kills, 145 assists, 243 digs and 58 aces for the Eagles this past fall.
