About Belle

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a 59 pin hitter with a powerful swing and a versatile range of hits. I’m exceptionally strong from the service line and can get many balls up. Will always play 100% until the ball is down and never call quits early.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

my mentality wants to step on the court. Is you give it your all or nothing at all. When you’re out there, you want to be not only getting better but you want to play your best while still being a team player. My personality on and off the core is always pretty easy-going and easy to get along with, but still knowing when to dial it in and focus on the game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am part of model United Nations and have one for awards at various conferences. I am also a part of the goats club which me and a couple of my teammates found in where we go and work at farms. I love surrounding myself with animals and high-level debates

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

playing volleyball ball has taught me so much about being a team player. It shows you how to lead without hurting each other’s feelings or invalidating your teammates. It also brings the girls so close together whether you’re having a good day or someone else having a bad day you’re always there to help each other.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I dislocated my knee twice during season and coming back from the injury and recovery took a while. But being back in the game has made it so much of a difference and I love the sport with a passion and I’m so grateful to be back and playing.

What type of college are you looking for?

i’m looking for a college where I can play preferably beach volleyball while still being able to study the major of my choice. One college that I would love to attend is university of Oregon, it is definitely in my top three

She has been working to raise her volleyball IQ, spending time in the gym to grow into an all-around player capable of contributing both offensively and defensively. She also sees value in using any opportunity on the court, in practice or in games, to improve.

“I know that, although I’m not as tall as some of the other outside or pin hitters, I can work them and outsmart them by improving my own game and studying theirs,” Dixon said. She prides herself on guiding teammates without seeming demanding and making sure both players on the floor and those on the bench stay engaged.
