Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
As a defensive player, I focus on staying constant and reading the game. My job is to provide a good foundation for the other positions and players on the court. I do this by giving accurate passes, making quick and reliable defensive plays, and reading the other team. I play well in high-pressure situations and stay calm no matter what is going on in the game.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I have a determined mentality, I want to be a dependable player for my teammates and coaches. I remain calm in pressure situations by remaining focused on the game and my team. My personality is very team-oriented and supportive. Whether I am on the court or not I try to be the loudest one to support those around me.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Beyond sports, I’m actively engaged in unified bowling and track, and I’m a member of Circle of Friends, which fosters inclusivity and community. I’ve been recognized on the academic honor roll and have attended leadership events like the NSAA Student-Athlete Sportsmanship and Leadership Conference, HOBY Leadership Training, and the FBI National Youth Leadership Program as Nebraska’s delegate.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through sports, leadership programs, and community service, I’ve developed strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Unified bowling and track taught me collaboration and encouragement, while programs like HOBY and the FBI National Youth Leadership Program strengthened my decision-making and integrity. These experiences have shaped me into a dependable and proactive team player.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
A significant challenge I faced was, moving right before my eighth-grade year. Adjusting to a new environment, making friends, and finding my place in a different school was difficult at first. However, it pushed me to step out of my comfort zone, improve my communication skills, and build confidence in unfamiliar situations. This experience taught me adaptability and the value of perseverance.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college that offers criminal justice or pre-law studies to support my goal of becoming either a lawyer or a police officer. I’d like a school with opportunities for internships, hands-on learning, and leadership development to help me build the skills needed for a career in public service. I’m looking for a team/coach who values positive team culture and player development.
