About Braydi

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a very focused player, and I think a lot about what will get us a point. Whether that is a deep corner swing or a tip right over the block, I think about what is open and what will work.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Im a loud player once warmed and i will always listen and respect everyone. I like to try to boost everyones mood and get them out of there heads when they start to get down on themselves, so i would say im cheerful and encouraging. I am also a very coach able player, I seek advice on how to improve my game play as much as possible.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Ive received multiple Honor Roll awards and other learning awards.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve definitely developed leadership and teamwork, i was raised to always help others no matter what and to always be kind to them. which has helped me learn a lot of the teamwork skills and bonding skills.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, ive moved across the country from one of the best clubs to a club that is still just as competitive just not as known. While all this was happening my grandfather passed and he was one of my biggest supporters for sure. so was definitely not easy to be in the right headspace during volleyball, which definitely had a impact on my confidence.

What type of college are you looking for?

Im looking for a college that will no matter what grow me as a player and person. Do preferably one that has a high diversity level and one that can help me achieve my goals and dreams and that will help me be most successful.

Ryann Bothof Ryann Bothof Ryann Bothof 5'3" | DS/L Grassfield | 2027 State VA and Benisa Moore Benisa Moore Benisa Moore 5'7" | OH/DS/L Grassfield | 2027 State VA are two players on that team who stand out. Obviously, there has to be more talent on Grassfield than those two players for them to reach the semi-finals.

Braydi provided video of her play with her profile and it shows potential. She drops her left shoulder when she swings because she doesn’t raise her left arm when she jumps to hit. This prevents her from using more of her core when she swings, preventing her from hitting with high velocity. However, she still creates offense from the front and back row when she swings. Credit that to her strong right arm.

At 5’10” there exists decent height for an outside. Some minor tinkering with that approach and swing and I can envision some additional unused power appearing in her game.
