About Breanna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Loud, Aggressive, Gets hype, Vertical is really good. I don’t let my height determine how I play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality is very outgoing, I love being there for others no matter if I know them or not. I like to show off what I can do even if I feel like people are judging me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed Strong leadership, communication skills, and adaptability. Being an undersized Middle has taught me to rely on quick decision making, smart positioning, and strong teamwork to block efficiently and make plays on the net. As an DS it has strengthened my discipline and reading skills on and off the court. I’ve also learned to be a vocal leader.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes I have. Being an undersized middle has made me feel like a black sheep or a coaches second option. I want to find a coach that will play me for my personality and athleticism. Not just look at me as a short hitter.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that is welcoming and i can fit in as I am and not change for the wrong meanings. I would like a medium size school.

Patience is a virtue, and I saw it quite a few times in Downing. I saw numerous timing issues with the setter on slides, but she kept in the play and found ways to still make a difference, specifically in the blocking department, where she was one of the strongest blockers in the gym. When she was in sync with her setter, she showed good court vision and found the open spaces on the court with a quick swing.
