Patience is a virtue, and I saw it quite a few times in Downing. I saw numerous timing issues with the setter on slides, but she kept in the play and found ways to still make a difference, specifically in the blocking department, where she was one of the strongest blockers in the gym. When she was in sync with her setter, she showed good court vision and found the open spaces on the court with a quick swing.

Downing will travel in from Webster Groves. She has seen action just about everywhere on the floor and hopes to stand out.
