About Brenna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I really like to put a lot of effort into my game. No matter what type of game it is I like to go all out and go for everything. A little quote I tell myself is "Just Go" and it works. When I play, I don't think about the bad things that can happen, I just think about what I am going to do to help my team achieve.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My belief that good things will happen if you put effort and work into something. You can't expect something good if you never put any work into something you do. I also believe that there is a part of sports that has to do with mindset, especially volleyball. On my team I try to pick everybody up and help people if they don't understand how to do something.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am apart of FFA, 4-H, Students for Positive Change, student council, one-act play and I also manage basketball and do rodeo.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Skills/qualities I have developed are the obvious leadership and teamworking skills, but also I have learned how to communicate with people because of many years volunteering. I have also developed a problem solving quality and time management.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I have faced was in volleyball. This past season, I was told that I have a bad mental game and have too much anxiety when it comes to playing. I knew i didn't have those problems so I took it upon myself to prove to everyone around me, who didn't believe that I should be playing where I was, that I was meant to play and I was good. I worked hard the entire season and was successful.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm not quite for sure what type of college I am looking for. I am open to most as long as there is a good atmosphere and a fun, safe place to be.
