About Brenna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Energetic would be the way I describe my gameplay. I am fast on offense transitioning and also aggressive on my defense to always make an effort on every a ball, making me a great utility on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Aside from the physical part of the game, the mental part of it all is the most important to execute the other half of the game. I make sure to support my teammates while also supporting myself. I think the knowledge of the game and mental part is what makes the most difference.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in the Girl-Up club at my school and have so much to achieve in the years to come.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Working with different varieties of players definitely evolved my leadership and teamwork skills by putting me in the position to help others grow instead of putting myself first. Every so often I help out my little sister’s volleyball team and work with younger kids for my school during the summer.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I am struggling with Osgood Schlatters, so as a year-round volleyball player, it’s not the easiest to deal with. Athletes will always have to deal with pain and it comes down to if you let it get the best of you or if you work through it and do what’s best to help it so you can continue your journey in your sport.
