About Brianna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

High volleyball IQ and court awareness! I am the go to player and can play multiple positions/roles to include 6-Rotation Player, Outside Hitter, Middle Hitter and Right Side.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to never back down from the toughest challenges on and off the court. I am consistently improving my self-worth through nutrition, academics and athleticism.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received multiple Academic Awards.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed and continuing to improve on the skill of being a leader. Being able to help those around me has furthered my experience in taking that role to be direct and assertive with others; allowing my peers and elders to take me seriously in a mature manner.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A significant challenge of mine was confidence; I would sometimes loose it when I didn’t think I was living up to my full potential during practices, games and day-to-day. I have managed to overcome this by having the mindset of just believing in myself, as well as the goals I have accomplished and will accomplish during the school year, club season and day-to-day.

What type of college are you looking for?

Academically, I’m looking for a college that offers a Biology degree as a prerequisite to attending medical school in the future. Athletically; I’m looking for a program where I can play at the highest level with a homely feeling and train under a knowledgeable and supportive coaching staff.

Last year Brianna played middle for East Coast Volleyball Club . This year she will play left side for South East Region Volleyball . Prior to the club season she won a top performer award at the Exposure Tour in Richmond.

The club season has started off well. The team ranked first in the Old Dominion Region. They recently played in the Northeast Qualifier where they finished 9th out of 83 teams. This weekend they competed in the Old Dominion Regional Qualifier, earning a spot in the Freedom Division. SERV lost to East Coast in the semi-finals then beat Virginia Wave in the third place match.

Brianna appears to have no trouble adjusting to the outside. She moved from 92 to 85 in the ranking. She did not play high school last year to focus on her studies and physical conditioning.
