About Briseis

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My game play style is very fast and scrappy. I try to get a touch on the ball whether I have to dive or throw myself to get the ball up.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to stay focused and make sure I give good passes and sets. I want to make my setter's job as easy as possible, so I don't make them run around everywhere. Everything starts off with the pass.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received awards for A honor roll and A,B honor roll, as well as a reward from one of my teacher for being an outstanding student in my Sports Medicine class .

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership skills in school volleyball since I was on varsity since my freshman year. Being on the varsity team meant I had to set an example and always put in effort. I have developed communication skills as well because volleyball is a very vocal sport.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced challenges with my height since I've had to play front row on varsity. It was hard and demanding but because of my vertical it was a lot easier. I learned to place the ball and make smart plays since I am not tall enough to jump above the block and hit straight down.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a good science program to get my degree. I am also looking for a college who will give me a scholarship to play volleyball where I can make friends and play my heart out.
