Johnson has good eye work in terms of focusing on how the play was developing. That, along with her footwork and quick lateral movement allowed her to get a ton of touches on the block. Johnson has a fast swing and solid contact on the ball which expedites its trip to the floor.

Brooke was a standout player at the Expo. My first notes on her were during warmups, where she stood out to me with how well-rounded yet aggressive she was. During positional work, Brooke proved her discipline and technical skills and then applied them during gameplay. She is the whole package as a middle – a true athlete who can block and swing consistently and rarely makes errors.

Brooke puts in the work on the court. She was engaged in every play and worked to make herself available to swing nearly every time the ball came over the net. She pushes herself to react quickly to opposing setters and get a clean block up at the net. Her sheer effort set her apart on the court and made her very successful at the Expo.
