About Brooklyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A consistent, fearless, and quick six-rotation outside hitter who brings intensity and reliability to every match. As a right-side blocker on the beach, I am intuitive and adaptable—reading the game, reacting fast, and competing with confidence on any surface.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I approach both academics and athletics with a strong sense of responsibility and gratitude for my God-given talents. I am fiercely focused and mentally tough, competing with intention and purpose. Away from the game, I am reflective, academically dedicated, and motivated by continuous self-improvement. My quiet confidence, discipline, and faith-centered mindset shape who I am.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Along with competing in volleyball, I am part of my school’s Sports Medicine program, where I use and grow my skills as an athletic trainer in training while supporting our student-athletes. Off the court, I stay engaged in my school community through Christian Club, Leadership Club, and Nutrition Club. Serving others is important to me, and I volunteer with the Pasadena Humane Society and CHF.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through volleyball and my involvement in Sports Medicine, I’ve developed strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Working with athletes on and off the court has taught me responsibility and how to stay calm under pressure. My volunteer work and participation in clubs like Leadership, Christian, and Nutrition Club have strengthened my sense of community, compassion, and commitment.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My parents divorced when I was going into 9th grade, and we had to move. This was challenging because it disrupted my sense of stability, but it also gave me perspective, helped me see that change can be good, and taught me to navigate life’s twists and turns. Through this experience, I’ve grown stronger in my faith and learned to trust that everything works out for a reason.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m seeking a medium-sized college in a suburban or urban environment with a strong balance of athletics and academics. I’m particularly interested in universities that offer excellent programs in physical therapy, kinesiology, and sports medicine, along with opportunities for hands-on experience with athletes.
