About Brooklyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm quick on my feet on defense, trying to cover as much court as possible. I communicate with backrow beforehand, letting them know what I have. I try my best to read the hitter as well as I can, staying loud and calling out where the ball is going.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm loud and energetic, bringing up my team especially when we need it. If I make a mistake I brush it off and tell them I got the next one. If my teammate makes a mistake, I support them, telling them they got the next one and not to worry about whatever just happened.I've learned to be very coachable, not taking criticism personally and trying my hardest to apply whatever they told me next play.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've developed becoming the best teammate I can be, striving to be a leader on the court. I make sure my teammates don't get hard on themselves and try my hardest to keep energy up, such as cheering after every point, even if we are down.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I've faced challenges like injuries, but I think the biggest on was mental challenges. I used to get really down on my self in my younger seasons, getting in my head, but quickly I realized that isn't doing me or anyone any good. Now, I started focusing more on being really supportive and moving on from mistakes quickly because I know how it is.
