How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a strategic and dynamic setter who thrives on quick decision-making and precise ball placement. My playing style focuses on reading the defense to set up my hitters for success, whether through fast-paced, unpredictable sets or consistent execution in high-pressure situations. I prioritize effective communication with my teammates, maintaining a calm and composed presence on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality on the court as a setter is focused, determined, and team-oriented. I see myself as the quarterback of the team, always striving to stay composed under pressure while making quick decisions to keep the offense unpredictable. I’m a vocal leader who encourages my teammates and ensures strong communication during every play.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being a captain has taught me that leadership is about serving and supporting my teammates while setting the standard through my actions. I’ve learned the importance of clear communication, both in offering encouragement during games and in addressing challenges with honesty and respect. Staying composed under pressure and being a source of positivity, even in difficult situations.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that balances strong academics with a competitive volleyball program where I can continue to grow as an athlete and contribute to the team’s success. I’m particularly interested in schools with a collaborative and supportive environment, both on and off the court.

Dircksen assumed a big role during her sophomore season as the primary setter for a Calvert program that has big tradition and high competitive standards. She dished 860 total assists for a 9.5 a/s average, increasing her career total to 1,174 with two seasons ahead of her. She plays for Mintonette during the club season, a great place to keep developing her setting mechanics, consistency, and decision-making. Simple in her movement to pursue the ball, she makes good adjustments while maintaining her soft touch when on the move.
