It’s a distinct possibility that McGaughey may never play a college volleyball match, being a high major basketball prospect. If that is the case it’s unfortunate for volleyball fans. That means your best chance to see the Colfax middle operate is making your way to the Palouse or waiting to see the Bulldogs at the state tournament next fall. When I watched McGaughey against the best teams in 2B, and against larger schools at the Linda Sheridan Classic, she could not be stopped. She is long, coordinated, jumps out of the gym and does not move or swing like a volleyball player who has mainly focused on basketball. She finished with 20 kills in the state semi-final and posted another 20 in the final, before La Connor and CWU commit Ellie Marble Ellie Marble 6'0" | OH La Conner | 2023 State WA won the match 3-1. Her progression over the course of the season as an attacker was special.
