Expert Analysis
Bob Abels | Prep Dig Scout
In my opinion one of the more improved players in this class. She went from 20 to 14 in the rankings.
Last year her offense consisted mostly of tips and slam dunks over the block. Some of those slam dunks got called while others did not. This year she actually increased her offensive repertoire to deliver more spikes around the block. However, I should caution that this is based only on my review of her during the short window when I watched her. Based on that her offensive game seemed more consistent and varied.
She always appeared as a presence with the block. At 6’5″ she pushes herself high over the net. The Santa Clara commit could become an impact player in college. Her height certainly creates disruption at the net.

At 6’5″ Caitlin can be an intimidating presence at the net. Prior to this year her offensive input seemed to rely more on slam dunk kills or tips over the block. This year her arm swing improved allowing her to actually power balls into the floor with a full swing. Of all the players I watched in the class of 2025 she may have made the most improvement.
Blocking has never been an issue for her. Her hands travel high over the net with a block touch that hits 8’4″. She brings an approach jump of 10’2″.

Opponents found Caitlin impossible to contain in a tournament last weekend. At 6’5″ she brings the height to dominate the game. It was the variety of her shots that impressed the most. Hitting from the middle Caitlin cut the ball right, powered the ball left and created all variety of shots to find the open court. She seems to have developed that volleyball IQ to sense where to hit the ball.
In the past when watching her play she did not seem to dominate as her height would dictate she should. Most of her offense relied on the slam dunk kill. Now, she appears to have crafted a repertoire of offensive plays to make her game less predictable. She brings an arm swing that can power the ball.
Caitlin has committed to Santa Clara.
