Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play setter and sometimes go front row to play right side. Most of the teams I have played on, I run a 6-2 and sometimes a 5-1. Off the court, I train my vertical and stamina.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to be like a goldfish where if I mess up, I instantly forget about it and move on to the next play. I do my best to cheer on my teammates and even if we lose, at least we were trying our best.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in National Charity League (NCL) which is a nonprofit philanthropic organization. I am in Honors Academy and STEM Academy in High School.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership skills by being a setter, but I have learned I am only as good as our team working together. I have also been humbled by the community service hours I have worked. I decided a few years ago to do something charitable every month. I am very blessed to have the things I have and grateful that I am able to give back.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A significant challenge I faced last year was when I fractured my growth plate in my ankle twice only 3 months apart. Each time, I was out for one month and I could not play volleyball which was very hard. However, after training and working, I gained my vertical back and my spark.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college or university that has a fun and lively environment with a medical focus. I am also looking for a school that has very good academics and supports and respects their students. There should also be a very good volleyball program that is inclusive and fun.
