About Caroline
Expert Analysis
Kyp Harasymowycz | Prep Dig Scout
Currently listed on TI’s 17.1 squad, Caroline has spent time on BOTH her home team and the 18.1 roster during this spring. In short, Caroline dominates the middle during 17s play and holds her own very nicely with the bigger and older middles in the 18s division. Her length is her strength, and she maximizes her attack touch with uber-long arms that can make some blockers look irrelevant. On defense, Miss Wilmering is more than capable of defending from pin to pin, and uses long strides to get to each and every pin blocker.

Caroline is a six foot middle with 6-3 arms. The length is sneaky, and helps her attack high and hard while also being a solid block with her length and penetration. Currently looking every bit the part of an M2, she plays up on TI’s 18-1, which is the very definition of ‘under-the-radar’—-most 18s have already committed places, so not too many have seen Caroline do her thing because of her age. Miss Wilmering is strong, consistent in her work ethic, attacks terminally and can defend the net from pin to pin with ease.

When you need a terminal thump in the middle, look no further than TI 16-1’s Caroline. Playing significantly longer and bigger than her frame, she’s already attacking at ten feet, and might be past that level by the end of this club season. Chatard hasn’t exactly had the greatest of high school seasons in the past few years, so getting Miss Wilmering to commit somewhere at the next level will be an absolute steal for some lucky program. She’s currently perfected her ability to be an M2, with some hints of being an M1 by next fall. Once she figures out how to consistently hit behind the setter, watch out.
