About Chanel

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a 5’9” right-side and outside hitter who plays with high energy and confidence. I bring a positive presence to the court by uplifting my teammates and celebrating every point. I attack every opportunity with determination and a competitive mindset, always focused on contributing to my team’s success.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Growth-driven and highly competitive, I bring discipline and intensity to every practice and match. I embrace challenges, push myself to improve daily, and lead by example while keeping my teammates motivated and confident.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I maintain high standards academically and athletically, earning 3.75+ GPA honors both semesters of middle school. I also volunteer at a summer church youth Bible study, where I mentor and support younger students, demonstrating leadership and a commitment to my community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

One of the skills I have developed is strong leadership as the captain of my school team and through club volleyball. I have learned that building trust and communication among teammates is essential, as it strengthens teamwork and improves overall performance. I also value working collaboratively on the court, adapting to different roles, and helping create a positive and unified team environment

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the most significant challenges I have faced in my volleyball career is consistently playing at a higher level than my age. From early on, I was placed on teams with older, more experienced athletes. It required me to quickly adapt to a faster pace of play, stronger competition, and higher expectations. This challenge has motivated me to continue pushing myself to the next level.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that challenges its athletes to reach the next level while also maintaining a strong commitment to academic excellence. I want to be part of a program that will push me to grow both as a player and as a student, preparing me for success on and off the court.
