Samantha Fitzgerald | Prep Dig Scout
Freshman C. Smith-Hall may have the widest positional range in this group. Alexander lists her at outside, right side and middle, and she already leads the Cougars with 33 aces.
For a freshman, I like that she hasn’t been boxed into one role yet. Each position teaches something different — reading in the middle, problem-solving outside and pin blocking on the right. She is also showing enough confidence from the service line to create pressure immediately. The exact long-term position can sort itself out later; right now the variety of reps is valuable. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga
