Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’d describe my gameplay style as strategic, competitive, and team-oriented. I stay focused under pressure, adapt quickly, and always strive to uplift my teammates. Whether it’s making smart plays or maintaining strong communication, I play with intensity and passion for the game.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m super motivated and always looking for ways to get better and level up. I don’t let challenges get me down – I stay confident, keep pushing, and try to learn from everything. I like to lead by example and keep a positive vibe, even when things get tough. I’m competitive but also really supportive of my teammates, and I love bringing energy and encouragement to help everyone do their best.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I also volunteer each year with the Special Olympics program at my school and have been involved with the organization since middle school. This experience has been incredibly rewarding and has taught me the importance of inclusion, empathy, and patience. I’ve had the opportunity to work directly with athletes, helping them develop their skills and encouraging them during practices and events.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve developed strong leadership skills through volleyball and by organizing events like the pickleball tournament that raised funds for my class. I also volunteered to help run a summer sports camp, where I taught basketball and volleyball to kids. These experiences have helped me grow more confident, patient, and better at working with others, while also giving me the chance to give back.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Most of my life, I played select basketball, and I didn’t decide to play volleyball until 8th grade. At first, I felt like I was a little behind since I was learning a new sport later than others. But I really believe the skills I developed from basketball – like court awareness, agility, and teamwork – have helped me excel in volleyball and catch up quickly.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college with a competitive volleyball program that will also help me reach my academic goals. I want to be part of a supportive and energetic community where I can balance sports and school. Finding a place that feels like home but also challenges me to grow both on and off the court is really important to me.
