Chloe Schantz has learned that composure and competitiveness can exist at the same time. She describes her game as calm and controlled, but never passive. Whether she’s playing defense or attacking, she wants her steady demeanor to create confidence for the teammates around her while her vocal leadership keeps everyone connected through every rally. That balance has become one of the defining characteristics of her game.

Perhaps the most consistent part of Schantz’s development has been her effort. The score never changes her approach. Whether her team is leading comfortably or fighting to erase a deficit, she believes every point deserves the same level of focus, communication, and intensity. One piece of coaching advice continues to guide her play: stay loose. She recognizes that when she trusts her training and avoids playing tense, her ball control, decision-making, and overall confidence all improve together.

Chloe helped her team by staying aggressive every play and keeping team energy high throughout the NorCal Winter Classic. She felt strong offensively and focused on reading the opposing side to place the ball in smart, aggressive locations. Her next area of improvement is working on lateral movement and staying loose defensively so she can cover more ground with efficiency. Off the court, Chloe describes herself as outgoing and recently found balance through hiking, exploring new places, and journaling, which has become a meaningful way for her to reflect and reset.

Chloe will compete next at the NCVA Power League Qualifier (Jan 31–Feb 1) and the West Coast Qualifier (April 2–4).
