Chloe was one of the more consistent outside hitters on the floor at the Sophomore ID Showcase and consistency at this level in this class is not something you can fake across a full day of competitive evaluation. The 5’8″ outside from Billy Ryan in Denton earned her Top Performer award by showing up on both sides of the ball throughout every segment of the event, attacking with timing and efficiency from the left pin and staying involved defensively in ways that court coaches took notice of beyond just the kill production. Her approach footwork was mechanically sound and the contact point she generated at the top of her swing gave her ball a trajectory that blockers in the scrimmage had a difficult time handling as the day went on. She passed well enough in serve receive to stay on the floor in all six rotations, which is the thing college coaches check first when evaluating a player at the outside hitter position. When you watch her pass, you will see someone who doesn’t add a lot of extra movement at the point of contact with the ball and that will keep her consistency intact.
