About Christiana

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a 12-year-old outside hitter playing on a 15-1s team, I bring a strong work ethic, focus, and drive to compete at a high level. I’m committed to growing my game and being a reliable all-around player — both at the net and in the back row. I lead by example through effort, communication, and staying composed under pressure, always putting the team first and pushing myself to improve every day.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I lead with my heart and bring a lot of empathy, gratitude, and passion into everything I do. I’m a hard worker who thinks deeply, dreams big, and always looks for ways to grow — both as a teammate and as a person. I stay grounded in what matters and push myself with purpose.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’ve been honored with awards for community service including The President’s Volunteer Service Award Gold (with a White House letter), recognition from the California State Senate, Los Angeles County’s Enriching Lives Award, and certificates from Assemblyman Tom Lackey and the U.S. Air Force. I also received a Bronze Certificate of Achievement for Best Child/Young Actress in “Suspended”.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

At 12, I’ve gained a strong work ethic and adaptability through acting—learning to focus and handle new challenges. Volleyball has taught me teamwork and leadership, helping me support my teammates and stay dedicated. Through community service, I’ve developed empathy and gratitude. These experiences have shaped me into a hardworking, caring person who’s always eager to grow.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’m very grateful for my life and haven’t faced many major challenges so far. But five years ago, I lost someone very special to me suddenly. It was really hard to understand and cope with, especially at such a young age. Even now, I still get emotional thinking about her, but that experience taught me a lot about healing, resilience, and the importance of cherishing the people I love.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’ve always admired UCLA for its strong volleyball program and academics, and playing on the Pauley Pavilion court during a camp made that dream feel real. I hope to major in Biology, and I’m excited to find a school that challenges me both on the court and in the classroom. While UCLA is a dream, I’m open to any program that helps me grow as a student-athlete and as a person.
