About Cora
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
As a defensive specialist, I thrive on reading the game, reacting quickly, and keeping the ball alive. I take pride in my hustle, court awareness, and ability to anticipate opponents’ moves. Whether it’s digging hard-driven attacks or making smart passes to set up the offense, I’m focused, reliable, and relentless. I bring energy to every play and love being the backbone of our defense.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
My main focus is a deep commitment to my team. I believe success comes from working together, supporting each other, and staying mentally tough through every point. I’m a communicator, a motivator, and someone who plays with heart. Whether I’m on the court or cheering from the sideline, I’m all in—because every role matters and every teammate counts.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I’m a co-founder of VALT (Viking Athletic Leadership Team) and a proud member of the National Honor Society. I’m passionate about giving back to the volleyball community and regularly volunteer with my club to mentor younger athletes through youth programs and practices.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through my experience with 608 Juniors, I’ve grown into a confident leader on the court, even though leadership didn’t come naturally at first. With the support of my coaches and club director, I’ve learned the value of teamwork and communication. That growth has inspired me to give back by helping younger players develop their skills and love for the game.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One of my biggest challenges was choosing not to play high school volleyball. It wasn’t easy, but I decided to focus my time and energy on club and beach volleyball, where I felt I could grow the most. I stayed committed to improving my game by training through development programs and private lessons during the school season, always keeping my love for the sport at the center of everything I do.
What type of college are you looking for?
I'm looking for a college that values both athletics and academics. Volleyball is a huge part of my life, but it's equally important to me that I can focus on my education and prepare for life beyond the court. I want to be part of a program that supports my growth as an athlete and a student.
