Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a team player first and foremost. I love being a defender, and my focus is keeping the ball alive and in play and making the job easier for my setters and hitters.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a co-founder of VALT (Viking Athletic Leadership Team), and a member of the National Honor Society. I also work closely with my volleyball club to mentor younger players by volunteering for youth programs and practices.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am not a natural leader, but have become a leader on the court thanks to my club experience with 608 Juniors. My coaches and club director have believed in me from the start and helped to increase my confidence both on and off the court. That has helped me to be confident enough to volunteer time with the club to help in youth programs and practices.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Of course - everyone faces challenges. My biggest challenge has been finding my place on my high school team. In the end, I decided to focus my time and energy on club and beach volleyball, while remaining in the gym and getting reps during the school season through development programs and private lessons.

What type of college are you looking for?

A school that values both athletics and academics. I love volleyball, but also need to be sure that I can focus on academics and my future after playing volleyball.
