About Dahlia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is a mix of accountability and competition. I value in-game energy and use that as a source to uplift spirits within my team. I appreciate the small steps that are taken, typically point-by-point, and utilize those steps to help my team achieve success.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I push myself to be the best I can be on and off of the court. I value both academics and athletics. Whether it is pushing myself to get 100 on a test, or pushing myself to correct a mistake in practice.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been in Student Council for three years, as well as NJHS. This year, at my new high school, I have joined HOSA and Neuroscience Club. In addition, I have joined a team to raise money for blood cancer research through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership and teamwork through my various leadership roles in extracurriculars and sports. I value the importance of a leader to help strive for success within teams as well as listening to everyone. A leader values the opinions and voices of others, and that is a skill I continue to develop everyday.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

When obstacles arise, I don't allow them to submerge my mentality. I strategize and plan accordingly to rise above these challenges.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that values not only athletics but academics as well. A college that is competitive on and off of the court while being welcoming is the perfect home I'm looking for!
