About Dakota

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Passionate Libero, I love passing! I started playing in 6th grade because my older sister played high school volleyball. I have always wanted to be a libero, but have played outside and right side. I finally got to play libero at the end of my first club season, I soak up everything I can to be the best libero I can be.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I want to learn. I want to know what I am doing wrong and how to correct it. I keep a positive attitude on the court no matter what. If there's a practice or an open gym, you'll find me there!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received the scholar athlete award and I was also accepted into Chamber Choir at my school. Less than 20 students were accepted in the Chamber Choir.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have had to earn my libero position. I wanted to be libero, from the start... but I always fell short because the coach would want me to hit instead. I was patient season after season, until I finally got the opportunity to play libero. I have spent time watching film and watching pro liberos to learn as much as I can to become the best libero I can be. It took patience and resilience.

What type of college are you looking for?

Right now my Dream school is the University of Arizona. But I would be happy with a college that has great values and great academics.
