About Da’Miya

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a player I am very competitive and fun. I am very vocal in the court and I can play where I am needed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

As a player my mentality is to win or be the best you can be. This is because if you have the mindset to win then you are always going to give all effort along with being the best you can be pushes you even more to show everyone your best. My personality is funny, caring and intelligent. My friends say I never fail to make them laugh, if I see my friend crying, I go up to them and I comfort them.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

As a multi sport athlete I have received A honor roll awards and I’m currently involved in National Junior Honors Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As an athlete my qualities that I have picked up on are communication and leadership. I have picked up communication because if you can’t communicate with your teammates how can you get their trust. You also have to communicate with them on the court and off the court. I have picked up leadership because someone has to be the person to step up and help out,I am a great leader on the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Battle through injuries have been one of my biggest challenges. This is because I have to stay mentally tough along with not letting my team down. Another big challenge I faced is my coaches not having faith or confidence in me. This is a big challenge to me because you have to stay tough through every and keep your confidence.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a collage that has a very good medical program along with a good sports program. I also want to make sure whatever sports team I choose to go on the girls are nice and the coach is also what I’m looking for.
